- Medical Forms will be filled out closer to the event
- Payment will be required if your child is registered. Refunds are not available and we will let you know when the payment is due
- Scouts will be able to earn their slingshot and BB loops at the event since they are required to be monitored by a certified leader.

Parents: Belt Loop Input Needed
Cub Scouts of all ages from Tiger Cubs to Webelos can participate in the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program and earn a belt loop or pin for each activity. Activities can be done individually, in the Den, or as a Pack. ( Archery and BB-Gun Shooting can only be earned through a certified instructor, not at a den or pack level. ) A scout participating on school teams or other organized teams may use those activities to fulfill requirements of this scouting program.
Activities are divided into two categories: Academics and Sports. Each category has many skills and activities from which Scouts may choose. The Cub Scout belt loop and pin program encourages a boy to do his best while learning skills and promoting good sportsmanship.
There are currently 23 sports activity areas: Archery, BB Gun Shooting, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Bicycling, Bowling, Fishing, Flag Football, Fitness, Golf, Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Marbles, Roller Skating, Snow Ski and Board Sports, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball
And, 17 academics activity areas: Art, Astronomy, Chess, Citizenship, Collecting, Communicating, Computers, Geography, Geology, Heritages, Language & Culture, Map & Compass, Mathematics, Music, Science, Weather, Wildlife Conservation
Please review the requirements of each loop by clicking on each one which may apply to your child and let me know if your child has met the outlined requirements. It would be great if everyone could email Gavin and I the loops to be awarded in the Pack Meetings.

Scouting for Food update
Kristyn and I offered den 7 for scouting for food in the Odyssey neighborhood located near the intersection of route 260 and Jewell road. All the other places you suggested were already claimed by the other dens.
What I don't know yet is the day we're going to put the bags out. I will pass that information on as soon as I get it.

Calendar
There will be one Tuesday each month when we will not be meeting due to scheduled Go See It events. It's hard to predict which weeks they will fall on each month since we are somewhat reliant upon availability of the site we are visiting. We will change the weeks as we schedule Go See It events, but at least for now we have the library booked each week for the next 6 months.
Tiger Cub Totem
This is what the completed Tiger Cub Totem will look like and this is what we are completing with our Den activities, Go See It events etc. Here is a link outlining the achievements: http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Tiger_Cub_Scout. We are following a monthly outline so we will be sure that each boy has the opportunity to complete the Tiger Totem.Once a Tiger Cub has learned the Cub Scout Promise, the Cub Scout Sign, and the Cub Scout Salute, he is awarded the Tiger Cub immediate recognition emblem. This is a tiger paw print with four strands to which beads are added as each achievement toward the Tiger Cub rank is completed:
- White beads are for Family Activities
- Orange beads are for Den Activities
- Black beads are for "Go See It"s
- Yellow discs (Tiger Track beads) are for every 10 electives completed (not awarded until after the Tiger Cub Badge is earned)
